# Astro Starter Kit: Portfolio

## 🧞 Commands

All commands are run from the root of the project, from a terminal:

| Command           | Action                                       |
|:----------------  |:-------------------------------------------- |
| `npm install`     | Installs dependencies                        |
| `npm run dev`     | Starts local dev server at `localhost:3000`  |
| `npm run build`   | Build your production site to `./dist/`      |
| `npm run preview` | Preview your build locally, before deploying |

docs: seperate `npm run build` and `npm run dev` to avoid confusion (#1798) To avoid confusion I seperated the `npm run build` and the `npm run dev` commands, beginners might get confused by each command being listed in the same list, thinking they need to run `npm run build` before Astro works properly.
